Softshell
Rab softshells are designed to fill the gap between traditional fleece and waterproofs.
The Softshell range includes exclusive rab technologies - including Fusion and Vapour-rise.
Vapour-rise was the first true softshell system - incorporating a wind and water resistant outer fabric with a fleece liner - this combination is warm and weathresistant whilst being incredibly comfortable and breathable.
Fusion technology combines waterproof and breathable eVent waterproofing with weather resistant and breathable Pertex Equilibrium fabrics to create a fantastic all round garment that is perfect for all but the very heaviest wet weather.
The Baltoro 'family' of products is more like what is now considered 'traditional' softshell. These consist of weather resistant outer fabrics along with brushed fleece or velour linings that wick sweat and provide warmth.
The Exodus jacket and pants are relatively new and use a new fabric developed for Rab. The Exodus jacket and Pants feature a stretchy, weather resistant fabric and are specifically aimed at mountain and snow sport users.
The Sawtooth jacket and pants are new for Spring 2011 and use an all new lightweight double weave fabric that is highly water repellent and very breathable. These are ideal for summer use and for high activity use where the extra breathability adds comfort and performance.
