The Alpine Tour Pants are fully featured backcountry ski /mountaineering pants with excellent venting options. They are perfect for all-round comfort and protection in the mountains.

The Alpine Tour pants are made of midweight 3 layer eVent® with reinforced protection at the knees and cordura crampon panels. Vents on the legs take care of cooling when slogging hard up hill and an internal fixed gaiter prevents any snow getting into your boots.

  Superlight, ultrabreathable. Light and packable enough you can put 'em in your pack in the event of rain or wet-wet snow (rarity in CO winter, sometimes in spring). Dig the venting on the legs and so far so good (one season; 7-10 days in the backcountry) durability wise. The pockets I'd rearrange somehow and put a larger zipper on, but they're still big enough I carried a beacon in one and sundries in the other. I generally wear a soft-shell pant for skitouring, but I like having something superlight as a back-up for nuclear days or any time there's a chance of getting wet. Low-profile, light, super-breathable....good stuff!

  I love these pants! I bought them since I was looking for a heavy duty pant for snowshoe conditions. I was skeptical as this is the first Rab gear I purchased and since they are so lightweight. But I trekked over 100 miles and fell in love. Al though, they are supposed to be water resistant, they let you breath. I wear them all the time. I have used them now on several 14er and 13er summits in Colorado. Wind, snow and breathability equals perfect.nnAlso due to the sizing, they cover my boots so I don't need to wear gaitors. they are the best pants that I own and I own a lot!

  Did some off piste skiing in Chamonix wearing these pants over a lycra base-layer and they were fantastic.Warm,breatheable and durable, exactly what i needed !!
