I get the Belay Jacket out of the rucksac at the same time as the vacuum bottle, when I reckon that the pitch that my partner is going to climb is going to be tricky. The jacket, which is very compact, accompanies me during all my ice outings. I appreciate its big hood, which protects me from getting snow down the back of my neck and the adjustable Velcro cuffs which give me a perfect insulation.
