Nils Nielsen

Nils Nielsen has been climbing since 2002. He loves all kinds of outdoor activities, but his passion is for climbing. Nils is happiest in the mountains, on long routes with snow, ice and rock. His climbing has taken him to many places in the world, but living in Romsdalen, Norway he has all he can dream of in his back yard in both summer and winter. Nils earns his living as a mountain guide, and is fully qualified as a IFMGA/UIAGM guide.

Including all his climbing in Norway, Nils has put up new routes in Alaska, Nepal and Scotland. He’s had many trips to the Alps for alpine climbing with solo ascents up to M5. He’s done many ascents on Yosemite bigwalls, including a solo ascent of El Capitan. He’s also been alpine climbing in the Bezengi area of Russia and Argentinien Patagonia, including Super Canaleta on Fitz Roy.
